Don....congratulations on you birthday! you have always been a great friend of our family.we still remember all the trials and tribulations we endured with you over east texas recruits! you were the hardest working person we've ever known and it showed with your recruiting and with the way your boys have remained loyal to you. we tried to teach rafe to follow in your foot steps. you have been a wonderful example! when he got his first full time coaching assignment at UH , he said " now i guess i will have to learn to cut up a chicken," referring to the time you impressed hosea's mom by cutting up the chicken before she returned home. thanks for making our kids and us such a big part of cougar football..these memories( dressing room visits, the dome, on the floor of the cotton bowl,dinners) will be cherished forever and we are so glad we shared each one with you.again, congrats and love from the matas,cg and nina
