Fifty nine years ago I drew the short straw. The task was to escort a couple of recruits around the campus of HSU and show them a good time. Was not real sure what that meant but Coarch Carlos told me I better do a good job because they wanted you to come to HSU. Guess we did ok. That short straw was the beginning of a very long friendship that has survived many, many birthdays. Sherry and I wish you the best on your special day. Please give a hug to your better half.
